After breakfast, Holden goes for a walk down Broadway. He thinks about the generous thing he had just done with the nuns. He would really like to get a CD for Phoebe. He is really close to her because she understands him. He can talk about his life and would get it. She wouldnt judge him or anything. He picks up the "Little Shirley Beans" CD. While walking again, Holden passes a boy who is singing "If a body catch a body coming through the rye." This cheered Holden up. Holden went to buy some tickets for an afternoon show, then he tries to find Phoebe. He looks in the park and asks a little girl who knows Phoebe and she says she thinks Phoebe is at the museum, but then she remembers that trip was the day before. Holden goes to the museum anyway. He remembers his class trip to this museum. He says he likes museums becuse everything stays exactly where it was.
I think Holden wants his life to be like a museum. Everything stays where it was. Not too much change... maybe something very little every now and then, but there is no drastic change.
